exams vs movies

tension increasing as exams approaching....
what most people doing while exams coming? definitely the answer is study, prepare for exams..
yea, of course i did so, but just for around 10% of my daily time(but i think in real is less than that)
oh gosh...what am i doing the rest of the time?
  • most of the time(around 45%) i sleep, although i m insomnia, but once i slept i m nothing else but a dead body, unless i recharge for 8 hours(min. 6 hours)
  • then another 15-20% of time i spent on my daily lesson in class( chit-chatting most the time except learning or studying) there goes about one third of the day
  • another 20% of time i sitting in front of my comp, watching movie(i just finish the survivor Micornesia) playing some mind games/brain trainer(will intro it abit later) surfing internet, updating my blog or replying email /messages.
  • left 5-10%--for my daily activites lo, 'bang sai', take bath, cooking, eating, walking and excercising etc.

aih, worrried for the exams...really have to reschedule my day now

one day trip

me at the final destination
it was two weeks ago, we planned to visit seaside during our spring holiday
we went to a town in sea coast of Crimea State, Sevastopol
it was a military base during World War II, and now it is a famous tourist spot in Eastern Europe. unfortunately there are not many battle ship left over there

we took train to reach there. it took around 2 and half hour to reach Sevastopol from Simferopol trust me...it's a long journey.
countryside view along the railway
a view at the train station after arrival
it's not like going to seaside in Malaysia, where u may reach within 1 hour, but here it will take u at least 2 hour(crazy)me at Balaklava, a small port near Sevastopola tunnel for submarine in Balakalvaa view at the dock with many boats
jellyfish at the dock, so beautiful
jellyfish in my hand, felt just like jelly

from the dock we move to our final destination via matsut(local public van transport)
another half hour to go there...Fiolent
still long way walk to cliffwelcome to black seaview at the cliff, magnificent!!black sea and the sky..do u see the line in between?group photo before went down the cliffstarting to walk down.....tooooo many steps :Sjust half way down, still long way to go
people down there are so tiny

sooo~~ tire after all the steps
guess what, we went down of equivalent height of 30 to 40 floors....can u imagine we have to walk all the way up again, it was 'breath taking'.....
anyway, we still manage to make it back to top once again, but we all have shortness of breath.
it was a tiring trip(we left Simferopol at 7am, and reach back Simferopol at 10pm) coz we waste toooo many time at transportation, but it's a memorable trip

the greed of man

this is a legendary hk series, one of my favorite during my childhood
it's a very old series, but it just caught my intention to watch it all over again.
i can see extinct bottle-shape mobile phone, box size television, classic round shape sun-glasses, old model Mercedes-benz.....etc in the series
it also remind me how rapid the world has change, how stunning the technologies develop, how fast the time fly.........and how much i have grown-up, yet still spending parents' $$

breaking bad news!!

i was reading an article in medscape and i found this title: breaking bad news
as a doctor there will be some unavoidable incidents whereby you have to(must) convey the bad news(especially dying news) to your patients or their relative and friends...

so as a medical students, how much have we learn to bring the bad news to others?we might only see this on the movies, we never been taught about this in medical school, except when you meet it clinically.(which we usually don't go to see how a doctor / surgeon inform the bad news)

hereby are some ways to bring the bad news in more comfort way(without mentioning the word 'die', or 'death'), but still eventually means you will be gone sooooon

What Doctors Say in Discussions With a Dying Patient— Excerpts From a Role Playing Exercise

What the Physician Said: What the Physician Meant:

Most people with this disease will have problems soon...Time could be very short—a few weeks to a few months. I think it is advisable to prepare for the worst and hope for the best. You are dying
Your time may be short You are dying
If there were a hundred people in your situation, most of those people would have major problems within one month or so...let's consider that we are now at Labor Day. By the time we get to late September, early October, I would expect that you would be having major challenges or problems. You are dying
Certainly, it sounds like the disease is really threatening your life You are dying

so fellow friends out there, if you hear this from a doctor(or maybe someone else like gangster??) it means your life is in danger
